Abraham Peina Jewelry

Keshi (Hello), Everyone! My name is Abraham Peina. I also go by Abe, Ham, Abey Baby or The Alien Boi! I'm 28 years old and started pursuing jewelry at the age of 21. I am from Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico. Home of the Thunderbirds!  Jewelry has always been in my family, but I had never considered it as a profession before... It became an outlet at one of the darkest times of my life. I was going through a rough time and my mom suggested I should put my creative mind to use and try jewelry. I’m grateful and thank her profusely to this day. My momma started me off with some basic tools and materials; to this day I haven't stopped learning since. I am self taught, but I have had amazing mentors that have helped guide me through my journey such as; My mother Charlotte Poblano Peina, My Father Larry Peina, Brother Julius Eustace, Cousin Robert Mac Eustace Jones, Aunt Christine Eustace and Alvin Vandever, my brother from another mother. With a few months of successful sales under my belt I’ve gained more confidence. A year later, I decided to quit my job and become a full time jeweler. My artwork has always been my passion. My one love. I couldn't see myself doing anything else, it’s my life! I was tired of jumping from job to job and Overworking myself for companies that would take advantage of me and replace me by the next day.  I became a Fiend for the Love of Art and have since been addicted to my Creative Life of mysterious wonders. Jewelry taught me patience, persistence, hard work, loyalty and true grit. Jewelry has and still is continuing to teach me a lot! I'm proud and always super stoked to learn different techniques, hunt for natural gems, stones, and shells in different states or any local shops in New Mexico. I honestly know the most exciting part of my art is waking up everyday and creating something new. I'm very thankful and appreciate all of the support and love that has been given to me. I'm thankful to be able to express my emotions with my creative mind and  spread my message of Peace, Love, and Happiness. A piece of my One Of A Kind Originals is a part of me, I look at my jewelry as my children and how I am unable to hold onto them all my life. How I'd like my children to explore and experience a different part of the world while bringing joy into someone else’s and their families lives. To be able to spread my message of positivity and to never underestimate yourself. Acknowledge your work and efforts; Never Give Up.

One Love.
